Rural geography, a branch of geographical science, provides an in-depth examination of villages and rural living spaces. It encompasses the study of both the natural and human environments of these areas, identifying their potential and practical capabilities. This knowledge serves as a guiding principle in the realm of investment and development, informing strategic planning and decision-making processes.

Pastures refer to natural lands endowed with vegetative cover capable of supplying animal feed throughout the grazing period. These areas play a crucial role in various aspects. They meet the requirements for animal feed, contribute to the replenishment of underground water tables, and facilitate the utilization of pasture by-products. Additionally, they aid in air purification and moderation, prevent soil erosion and flooding, cater to the needs of wildlife, and offer recreational opportunities. Thus, pastures serve multiple ecological and societal functions.

Students pursuing a degree in handicrafts are exposed to 24 distinct groups of Iranian handicrafts through theoretical courses, hands-on workshops, and various projects across 152 art branches. Upon graduation, these students specialize in areas such as the wood industry, pottery, painting, and carpet design, equipped with a comprehensive understanding and practical experience in these fields.

This discipline has gained significant attention over recent decades, leading to its adoption by numerous prestigious universities. Urban engineering has proven instrumental in addressing various urban challenges, making it a valuable field of study for aspiring students.

Horticultural Science and Engineering is an interdisciplinary field that combines the art and techniques of botany, plant biology, plant nutrition, plant genetics, agriculture, disease management, fruit production, medicinal plants, and landscape design. This discipline bifurcates into two specialized branches: Horticulture Engineering and Landscape Engineering.
