The University of Tabriz, a public institution, spans an area of 275 hectares and operates under the Ministry of Science, Research, and Technology. The University of Tabriz holds a prestigious position both nationally and globally. It is ranked 9th among Iranian universities and falls within the 601-800 bracket in the Times World University Rankings. This ranking is a testament to its academic standing, performance, and activities in comparison to other global institutions.
Tabriz University has the distinct honor of being the first Iranian university to join the executive board of the World Universities Union. Furthermore, it has been recognized for its significant contributions over the past 30 years, securing first place at the Comprehensive Exhibition of Achievements of the System (187).
In addition to its academic accomplishments, the university has also been commended for its commitment to environmental sustainability. It received a certificate of appreciation from the Vice President for its efforts in developing green spaces and fostering a culture of environmental consciousness.

The initial registration fee for students at the university is $50. An annual fee of $50 is also required. For those interested in the Persian language course, which caters to all levels from beginner to advanced, the fee is $300.
