Shahid Beheshti University, a state university located in Tehran, the capital of Iran, was established in 1938. Originally known as Iran National University, it was founded by order of Mohammad Reza Pahlavi. The university currently boasts a community of 17,000 students, 1,290 faculty members, and 900 staff members.
To date, the university's contributions to academia include the publication of 26,837 articles in domestic journals and conferences, comprising 10,640 articles and 16,197 conference papers. Additionally, it has produced 553,374 internationally accredited articles. Shahid Beheshti University is also the publisher of 40 professional journals and has hosted 49 conferences, further cementing its role in the academic landscape.

Shahid Beheshti University has achieved several significant accolades:

- In the Shanghai Ranking Regime, Shahid Beheshti University was ranked between 901 and 1000, a position it shares with Shiraz University and Tabriz University.

Shahid Beheshti University offers a variety of dormitory accommodations. The Brothers Dormitory complex, which consists of five blocks, was established in 1370, followed by the Sisters Dormitory complex with four blocks in the subsequent year. In 1382, a dormitory for married female students was built in Velenjak, thanks to the generous contributions of donors.
The dormitories are well-equipped with a range of facilities, including a dining hall, wireless system, reading hall, prayer room, TV hall, sports facilities, gym, artificial lawn garden, medical and consulting services, and service centers that include a food shop, buffet, laundry, bakery, and tailoring services.
The Brothers Dormitory comprises blocks one to five, while the Shahid Shariyari Dormitory includes blocks one to six. There are also several other dormitories: the Kochuy, Keshavarz Boulevard, and Rastak Dormitories for female students; the Khaem Maqam, Shahid Ranjbaran, and Rastgari Dormitories for male students; and the Somayeh and Spring Dormitories for female students. These accommodations provide a comfortable and convenient living environment for the students.
The initial registration fee for students at the university is $50. An annual fee of $50 is also required. For those interested in the Persian language course, which caters to all levels from beginner to advanced, the fee is $300.
