Khaje Nasiruddin Toosi University of Technology, one of Tehran's leading governmental institutions, holds the distinction of being Iran's first industrial university. Its roots trace back to 1307, and it was officially recognized by the Cultural Revolution Council in 1359. The university was formed through the integration of nine higher education centers, including the Higher Technical Institute of Habib Nafisi, the Higher Technical School, the School of Hydrology and Atmospheric Sciences, the Faculty of Communication, the School of Building, the University of Labor and Occupation, the Technology Training of Tehran, the Education University of the Education Ministry, and the Film Institute of University of Cinema. Currently, the university boasts 85 scientific faculties, 194 research and teaching laboratories, 13 research centers, 3 research groups, 6 research centers, 11 knowledge-based companies, and 28 development centers, all specializing in various fields. The university has made significant contributions to research achievements in Iran by collaborating with various industries to address their specialized challenges. Its diverse research activities reflect the dynamic nature of the university in various scientific and industrial fields.
