Shiraz University of Technology, the second public university in eastern Shiraz, has a rich history dating back to the Pahlavi era. Initially established as the School of Electronic Industry, it continued under this name until 1382, when it was renamed Shiraz University of Technology. The university's new campus is located in a new city in the northwest of Shiraz. Currently, the university is home to 1,810 students and 120 professors, with an additional 98 faculty members contributing to its academic community. The university's scholarly output is impressive, with 2,337 scientific articles published and three conferences hosted. The university also boasts two research centers. The university's laboratories are divided into two categories: training laboratories and research laboratories. The training laboratories include electronic labs and computer schools focusing on logic and architecture, among others. In 1396, a significant milestone was the initiation of a joint scientific collaboration between Shiraz University of Technology and the GRAMFC Research Laboratory of Picardy University of Verne.

Shiraz University of Technology offers a variety of facilities for its students: **Accommodation**: The university has two hostels on campus, one for boys with a capacity of 430 and one for girls with a capacity of 190. **Boys' Dormitories**: These consist of four blocks named Madras, Razi, Avicenna, and Chamran. The facilities include a reading room, TV hall, computer center, green space, buffet, and outdoor sports equipment. **Girls' Dormitories**: These consist of two blocks named Yas and Narges. The facilities include a buffet, green space, volleyball and basketball courts, TV halls, and study halls. **Library**: The Central Library of Shiraz University of Technology was established to collect, store, and organize printed and electronic materials and resources for training and research. It houses 34,000 printed books in Persian and Latin on various academic subjects, classified according to the Dewey Decimal System. Users can access many features of the library portal, including renewal, bookings, book searching, e-book downloading, personal library, and librarian assistance. **Kingdom Hall**: This space accommodates around 70 brothers and 100 others in two separate halls for brothers and sisters. **Study Halls**: These are open around the clock during exams, providing students with a quiet place to prepare. The initial registration fee for students at the university is $50. An annual fee of $50 is also required. For those interested in the Persian language course, which caters to all levels from beginner to advanced, the fee is $300.
