Qom University of Technology was founded in 2008, backed by city representatives in the Islamic Consultative Assembly and the then President. The goal was to educate and supply a portion of the specialized workforce for the province and the country. The university's current building is temporarily funded by the Welfare Department of Qom Province. Plans are underway to construct a new building in the coming years, located ahead of the Qom-Tehran freeway.
School of Mechanics, Faculty of Engineering and Engineering, Faculty of Electrical and Computer Engineering
Qom University of Technology spans an area of 31,800 square meters. Initially, the educational space was 4,000 square meters, but it expanded by 30% with the construction of the new university administration building. To accommodate future growth and attract more students, there are plans to develop a main university site on a 24-hectare campus, located 9 km along the Qom-Tehran Open Way.
The university boasts a sports hall named Shahid Shariyari, which covers an area of 450 square meters. Additionally, a sports hall near the university has been rented for student use. In September, the university inaugurated 99 artificial turf fields, covering 1,250 square meters.
While Qom Industrial University did not initially have a dormitory, a contract with Mofid University has made it possible to rent a dormitory for students at a minimal price. The dormitory rooms, which meet standard quality, can accommodate 4 and 8 students for female students, and 2 and 4.8 students for male students. Given the dormitory's distance from the university (20 km), continuous travel services have been arranged at various times to align with the university's curriculum. The dormitory is conveniently located near the Zanziabad district in Qom.
The initial registration fee for students at the university is $50. An annual fee of $50 is also required. For those interested in the Persian language course, which caters to all levels from beginner to advanced, the fee is $300.
