Kermanshah University of Medical Sciences, a state university located in the city of Kermanshah, operates under the supervision of the Ministry of Health, Treatment and Medical Education. It offers education in medical and related fields. The university's journey began in 1344 with the establishment of the "Kermanshah 25 Shahrivar Higher School of Nursing" in a building in Shirkhorshid Square, following the attainment of a bachelor's degree in nursing. In 1372, it merged with other provincial medical sciences universities and has since been operating as the "Kermanshah University of Medical Sciences and Health Services". Currently, the university is home to 4,394 students and 474 professors. It has made significant scholarly contributions, with 2,381 scientific articles published in domestic journals and organizations. The university also publishes five specialized journals and has hosted two conferences. Additionally, it has published 7,370 articles in internationally accredited journals, further cementing its role in advancing medical knowledge.

At the 27th Razi Medical Research Festival, a significant achievement was made by the medical sciences universities of two countries. They secured the first place in research and student research categories. Among the second-tier medical sciences universities, they also achieved the top rank in technology. Overall, they secured the third place among all the medical sciences universities in the country. Dr. Saber Khazaei, a faculty member of the Medical Sciences department at the University of Kermanshah, was recognized as a Young Group of Clinical Sciences and Health Committee at the festival. This recognition further highlights the significant contributions and advancements in the field of medical sciences.

This university offers eight dormitories, adhering to the regulations set by the Ministry of Housing. These include five dormitories for women, two for men, and one for married couples. Due to limited physical space, collaborations and agreements are facilitated by the student cultural assistant. The dormitories are situated near Aytha Hospital in Tehran, Iran. Here are the details of each dormitory: 1. **Taleqani Mahfath Sisters Dormitory Complex**: This is located in Culture Department 2, across from the Refah Store. 2. **Bustan Sisters Dormitory**: This can be found on Nursing Blvd., near Imam Reza Hospital. 3. **Married Dormitory Milad**: Comprising of Blocks 1 and 9, this is situated in the Milad Residential Complex, Moalem Town, on Hafez Blvd. 4. **Bostan Baradaran Dormitory**: This is located on Nursing Blvd., opposite Imam Reza Hospital. 5. **Shahid Alwani Dormitory for Men**: This is located in Culture Phase 2, on Kowsar Southern Street. Each dormitory operates in accordance with the university's housing policies and aims to provide a comfortable living environment for students..

The initial registration fee for students at the university is $50. An annual fee of $50 is also required. For those interested in the Persian language course, which caters to all levels from beginner to advanced, the fee is $300.
