The University of Rehabilitation and Social Health Sciences was established based on the decision of the Council of Deputies of the Ministry of Health, Treatment, and Medical Education to create a higher education institution specializing in rehabilitation, social, and mental health. Officially founded on 71/8/9 with the endorsement of the Council of Expansion of Iranian Medical Sciences Universities, the university initially started with a Social Work Educational Group and has since expanded significantly.
Currently, it encompasses 23 educational departments and eight research centers, leveraging the expertise of over 150 faculty members. The university plays a crucial role in educating 1,700 students, with 65% of them pursuing graduate studies. Recognized as one of Iran's most prestigious medical universities, it continues to make significant contributions to the field of medical sciences.
