The students have achieved remarkable success in various sports competitions: - They clinched the Athletics Championship title in the 100×4 m relay event and emerged victorious in the Fourteenth International Sports Olympiad of universities across the country. - They secured second place in the Chess Championship hosted by Gorgan University of Agricultural Sciences and Natural Resources. - They also won fourth place in the volleyball competitions hosted by Guilan University. - A student from Golestan University earned the third title in an International Wrestling Competition held in Russia. While Golestan University does not have its own dormitory, it does provide private, non-governmental boarding houses in the cities of Aliabad and Gorgan. In Gorgan, there are three boarding houses for male students and four for female students. In Aliabad, there are two dormitories exclusively for female students. These boarding facilities are equipped with amenities such as beds, refrigerators, and heating and cooling systems. As for the Central Library, it was inaugurated in Bahman 1388, during the Fajr decade. It is conveniently located on the Shahid Beheshti Street campus and continues to serve the students of Golestan University. This setup ensures that students have access to essential resources and a conducive living and learning environment.

The initial registration fee for students at the university is $50. An annual fee of $50 is also required. For those interested in the Persian language course, which caters to all levels from beginner to advanced, the fee is $300.
