With over 47 years of experience, the University of Mazandaran has significantly enhanced its academic standing by improving the quality and quantity of its education. Each year, it admits a large number of students and has been actively recruiting international students since 2001. The university spans a total area of 4,000 hectares, with buildings covering 150,000 square meters. The educational buildings alone account for 58,000 square meters, providing an educational space of 12 square meters. The university community comprises 13,580 students, including 783 international students, and 350 faculty members. The faculty includes 37 professors, 88 associate professors, 200 assistant professors, and 24 instructors, along with several lecturers and teaching assistants. According to research, the University of Mazandaran has published 11,563 articles in domestic journals and conferences, including 3,714 journal articles and 7,849 conference papers. Additionally, 6,078 articles have been published in internationally accredited journals. The university has organized 19 conferences and is the publisher of 13 professional magazines.

The University of Mazandaran, established four decades ago, has achieved significant milestones. Among its notable achievements is the recognition of two of its faculty members, Professor Jahanbakhsh Rauf and Professor Reza Orjani, who have earned a place on the list of international scientists. In 1390, the university also rose to prominence as the sixth-largest university in the United States. As of 2023, according to the most recent statistics from The Times Rating Database, the University of Mazandaran ranked between 1001 and 1200 out of 1,662 qualified universities worldwide in The Times Rating System. This is a testament to the university's commitment to academic excellence and global recognition.

Universities and educational centers provide a range of facilities to enhance students' learning experience and convenience. These include university cafeterias for meals, gymnasiums for fitness and sports activities, and Persian language teaching centers. International schools and student camps are also part of the offerings. The university provides several dormitories for accommodation: 1. **Shahid Navab Safavi Dormitory**: This dormitory houses faculty members and male students pursuing graduate and doctoral degrees. 2. **Hazrat Zainab Dormitory (S)**: This dormitory is for female students at all levels of education. 3. **Imam Hossein Dormitory (AS)**: This dormitory is for undergraduate male students. 4. **Aftab Residential Complex**: This is a university-affiliated complex equipped with all necessary facilities. 5. **Self-Funded Student Slabs**: This option is also available for students. These facilities contribute to a comprehensive and conducive environment for learning and living.

The initial registration fee for students at the university is $50. An annual fee of $50 is also required. For those interested in the Persian language course, which caters to all levels from beginner to advanced, the fee is $300.
