In 1373, an educational complex was inaugurated in the city of Nishabur, in collaboration with Ferdowsi University of Mashhad. This complex initially offered undergraduate programs in food and social science engineering, with a strong emphasis on research. By 1378, the complex underwent a transformation and emerged as the Nishabur School of Arts, offering courses in painting, graphics, and sculpture.
In November 1385, following an agreement with the Office of the Development of Higher Education, the Nishabur School of Arts was elevated to the status of a Higher Education Complex. In 1388, the Higher Education Development Council sanctioned the transformation of this complex into an independent university, now known as Nishabur University.
Within a year, Nishabur University expanded its academic portfolio by establishing two new faculties: the Faculty of Arts and Humanities and the Faculty of Basic Sciences. Today, Nishabur University operates from three buildings in the city, offering eight bachelor's degree programs across various disciplines.

Neyshabur University has achieved several significant accomplishments:
1. **Best Dissertation**: Dr. Hashim Sadeghi Mohsen Abad and Dr. Davoud Amarkady Moghaddam, faculty members of Neyshabur University, received the title of "Best Dissertation" at the 10th and 8th International Conference of the Association for the Promotion of Persian Language and Literature, respectively.
2. **Robot Manufacturing**: The university manufactured the Blind Auxiliary Robot and Barbot Intelligent Robots between 1393 and 1395.
3. **Top Article**: Dr. Mahdiyeh Ghasemi, a member of the Faculty of Science at Neyshabur University, received the title of “Top Article” at the Third International Brain Mapping Congress of Iran.
4. **The Book of Merit**: Dr. Davoud Amarti Moghaddam received this title at the 10th Festival of Jalal Al-Ahmad for his work, "Rhetoric from Athens to Medina".

9. **Fajr International Festival of Visual Arts**: Mrs. Abdalabadi, a member of the Faculty of Science at Neyshabur University, was honored in the thirteenth round of this festival.

11. **International Women Photographers Competition (WPS)**: Miss Elahe Abdalabadi, a faculty member at Neyshabur University, participated in this competition in Mexico.

4. **Iranian Open RoboCup 2018**: The Electrical Engineering Department of Neyshabur University received the title of “Most Intelligent Robot” in the thirteenth round of this competition.
5. **20th Student Competition National Statistics**: The Neyshabur University Team secured third place in the application section.
6. **Neyshabur University College of Sport Qualifiers**: The Wushu Men's and Girls' Team won first place in 1398–9.
7. **World Championships of Sports of Zorkhana and Wrestling**: Mr. Mohammad Reza Darghami, a Sport Science Student, participated in the third round of these championships.
8. **Fifth Annual Niavaran Poetry Festival**: Khanafari Sadat Hosseini, a graduate student of Persian Language and Literature, was selected for this festival.
9. **Prototype Arm Scara Robot**: The university built this robot for Pick and Place in an Industrial Environment in 1398.
10. **43rd National Student Mathematics Competition (NSIED)**: The Neyshabur University Students' Team participated in this competition.
11. **Cultural Centers**: Neyshabur University was selected as the sixth-best university in the country in this field in 1398.
12. **Prototype Human-Machine Interface**: The university built this interface through EEG brain signals.
13. **Automatic Disinfectant Device**: Mr. Mojtaba Noori, an Undergraduate Student of Electrical Engineering, designed and manufactured this device in 1399.
14. **First National Competition of the Iranian National Elite Foundation**: Mohammad Erfan Salimi, a Bachelor of Medical Engineering student, secured third place in this competition named Rah Neshan.

The university offers a variety of facilities to support its students and faculty:
**Computer Center**: The university's computer center, spread over 350 square meters across two distinct spaces (the Faculty of Arts and Campus), houses more than 120 computers. It caters to the educational and research needs of professors and students. With the upcoming expansion of the university's central laboratory, the computer center will soon be equipped with a heavy computation server.
**Nishapur University Library**: The library complex is situated in two separate areas (the Faculty of Arts and Campus) to meet the educational and research needs of teachers and students. It boasts a collection of approximately 15,000 specialized books in both Persian and Latin. Additionally, it houses a valuable collection of Latin journals and Persian publications in the specialized areas of the university.

The initial registration fee for students at the university is $50. An annual fee of $50 is also required. For those interested in the Persian language course, which caters to all levels from beginner to advanced, the fee is $300.
