In 1373, an educational complex was inaugurated in the city of Nishabur, in collaboration with Ferdowsi University of Mashhad. This complex initially offered undergraduate programs in food and social science engineering, with a strong emphasis on research. By 1378, the complex underwent a transformation and emerged as the Nishabur School of Arts, offering courses in painting, graphics, and sculpture. In November 1385, following an agreement with the Office of the Development of Higher Education, the Nishabur School of Arts was elevated to the status of a Higher Education Complex. In 1388, the Higher Education Development Council sanctioned the transformation of this complex into an independent university, now known as Nishabur University. Within a year, Nishabur University expanded its academic portfolio by establishing two new faculties: the Faculty of Arts and Humanities and the Faculty of Basic Sciences. Today, Nishabur University operates from three buildings in the city, offering eight bachelor's degree programs across various disciplines.
