The University of Yazd, officially established on Bahman 23, 1988, holds the distinction of being the first comprehensive university in Iran following the Islamic Revolution. It initially accepted 38 students for its bachelor's degree program. Since its inception, the university's growth and enhancement of scientific and educational activities, as well as its physical development, have been key priorities for its management and planning teams. Currently, Yazd University offers 45 Ph.D. programs, 102 Master's programs, and 92 Bachelor's programs, serving a student body of 13,580 Ph.D. students. The students of Yazd University are consistently recognized for their revolutionary spirit, diligence, and dedication.

The initial registration fee for students at the university is $50. An annual fee of $50 is also required. For those interested in the Persian language course, which caters to all levels from beginner to advanced, the fee is $300.
